Pam Tillis explains 'Hee Haw' theme to upcoming benefit

Listen to Pam Tillis on iHeartRadio

Pam Tillis says she doesn't like "to do anything by the book."

The country star tells Nashville's "Tennessean" that's why her upcoming benefit concert has a "Hee Haw" theme.  Tillis says there are "a lot of regular concerts around town," so as the headliner to next month's Rochelle Center fundraiser she decided to "put a little spin on this."

The singer adds that they've "got sets and props," and some of the original cast members from the show are slated to appear.  Pam says she's excited about the show, which she believes is going to be a lot of fun for the audience.

Lorrie Morgan, Craig Morgan, and Joe Diffie are some of the other stars on board for "Hay Y'All: An All-Star Salute To Hee Haw."  The show will take place at Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on March 4th.  Money raised will go to the Rochelle Center, which provides assistance to people with disabilities and their families.
